Hot air balloon lands in a field near Palakkad
A balloon landed in a field near Palakkad after running out of fuel.
The 10th Tamil Nadu International Hot Air Balloon Festival, organized by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department and Global Media Box, began on the 13th at Achipatti near Pollachi and concluded yesterday. Twelve balloons from eight countries including the United States, Thailand, Austria, Vietnam and Belgium have arrived for the festival. In this situation, yesterday morning, on the concluding day of the festival, one of the balloons that flew in the sky ran out of fuel and landed safely in the field of Udhayan in Vadavannuar Vattachirai area of Palakkad district.
The balloon was carrying a foreign pilot and a mother and daughter from Chennai. They returned by loading the balloon in a vehicle that followed.
It is noteworthy that on the opening day of the festival, a hot air balloon belonging to Ramankutty of Perumatti Kannimari Mullanthudu area in Palakkad district, ran out of fuel and landed in a field.
