Coimbatore; Coimbatore Collector Krantikumar said that the farmers’ advice will be accepted regarding the implementation of the metro rail project in Coimbatore. A farmers’ grievance meeting was held at the Coimbatore Collector’s office under the chairmanship of Krantikumar. District Revenue Officer Sharmila presided. In this meeting, Selvaraj, President of Kausika Water Resources Organization, spoke: Siddique, Managing Director, Chennai Metro Rail recently visited Coimbatore. A special meeting was held under his chairmanship with the participation of key officials. Only four association administrators participated and gave advice. There are 16 organizations working actively for the development of Coimbatore. Not a single organization has been invited. Regarding the metro rail project, we were ready to say many things; We are not given a chance. Thus, he spoke. Responding to this, Collector Kranthikumar said, “As you say, neither the organization nor the volunteers met the Metro Rail Managing Director Siddique. A meeting will be held soon regarding the implementation of the metro rail project. Various organizations in Coimbatore including volunteers, organization administrators will be invited. Comments will be recorded. The final decision will be made as per the decision of the Managing Director, Metro Rail. Farmers must be given important representation and invited. Your reasonable comments are welcome. Thus, Collector Kranthikumar said.
