The Omni Bus Stand at Sathi Road, Gandhipuram, Ward 48, under the Central Zone of Coimbatore Corporation, is being maintained by the Corporation. Renovation work is currently underway at this bus stand at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.68 crore. The work is almost 80 percent complete. Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran personally inspected the work yesterday.
At that time, he ordered the relevant officials and contractors to complete the remaining work quickly and bring it to public use. After this, the reconstruction work of the garbage transfer station at an estimated cost of Rs. 5.27 crore is underway in the same area at Sathi Road. The Commissioner personally inspected this too. He ordered that this work be completed without delay and at the earliest.
During this inspection, Central Zonal President Meena Loku, Assistant Commissioner Senthilkumaran, Executive Engineer Karuppasamy, Assistant Executive Engineer Yehamalatha, Assistant Town Planning Officer Govinda Prabhakaran, Zonal Health Officer Gunasekaran, Assistant Engineer Kumaresan and others were present.
