Semiconductor chips are a very important part for the functioning of various electronic devices such as computers, televisions, and smartphones.
A US-based company called YES, operating in Sulur, Coimbatore district, has developed a semiconductor manufacturing equipment for one of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturing companies and successfully sent it to the company. Tamil Nadu Industries Minister D.R.P. Raja shared this today.
The fact that this equipment, which was manufactured in India, was developed in Coimbatore and exported is gaining attention across the country. S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, said that this progress made by Tamil Nadu is very important for the Indian semiconductor industry. He said that the Indian government is ready to provide all the necessary assistance in this regard.
Tamil Nadu Industries Minister D.R.P. Raja said that Tamil Nadu is committed to the objective of making Tamil Nadu a global semiconductor hub.
