Coimbatore; As Bangladeshis who were staying with fake documents are being arrested continuously, the police have been instructed to verify the documents of foreign workers in Coimbatore. Bangladeshis have infiltrated our country under the guise of workers from the northern states and are staying in industrial cities like Coimbatore and Tirupur. The anti-terror police arrested 31 Bangladeshis who were staying in Palladam, Tirupur district, a few days ago.
When the documents they had were checked, it was found that the Aadhaar cards were fake. In the subsequent checks, 17 Bangladeshis were arrested. The checks are ongoing. As there are many industrial companies in Coimbatore, the police have been instructed to conduct checks here too. Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Saravana Sundar said, “Regarding Coimbatore City, continuous checks are being carried out to see if anyone is staying illegally. “The documents of the workers have already been checked and the addresses in them have also been investigated. The details were genuine. However, a follow-up investigation is being conducted. Industrial companies have been advised to collect the complete details of the workers working in their companies and examine their authenticity,” he said.
