The organs of a brain-dead youth were donated at the Coimbatore Government Hospital.
Arumugam’s son Panneerselvam (28) hails from Sathya Colony, Veeranam Korathupatti, Salem District. He was riding a two-wheeler when he fell down and got seriously injured. After being treated at Salem Government Hospital, he was admitted to Coimbatore Government Hospital on Tuesday for intensive treatment.
He was brain dead while undergoing intensive treatment. Subsequently, relatives offered to donate his body parts. Following this, Panneerselvam’s eyes and kidney were donated to Coimbatore Government Hospital, another kidney to Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Hospital and liver to Coimbatore Private Hospital.
