Rajneesh Karnatak, the Managing Director and CEO of Bank of India (BOI) who was in Coimbatore today said that the bank’s global business has reached Rs 13.64 lakh crore and it plans to reach Rs 18 lakh crore in the next three years.Bank of India’s Coimbatore regional meeting on business development was held at a private hotel in the Racecourse today. Higher officials of the bank from Chennai were also present.Rajneesh gave various suggestions for business development capabilities of the Bank. Speaking to the media, he shared about the various schemes of Bank of India and the benefits of digitalization to the customers.He also elaborated on the plan to reach 18 lakh crore business. He said that the recent introduction of a special stamp by the Indian Postal Department to celebrate the Bank of India’s 119th Foundation Day is a proud moment reflecting the Bank’s heritage.Pointing out that MSME and corporate finance are increasing in the rapidly growing Coimbatore region, he said that the priority is being given to lending for various projects to boost the bank’s business here.Bank of India officials and employees from Coimbatore participated in this consultation meeting. He also discussed the development of the bank with its employees from Coimbatore, Chennai, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam zones through video conference.
