Chennai: The launch of PSLV-C59 rocket with two satellites designed by the European Space Agency has been postponed to 4:12 pm tomorrow. ISRO has taken this decision due to a technical glitch in the satellite. ISRO, which designs satellites for our country’s communication and earth observation needs, is placing them in space with the help of PSLV and GSLV type rockets. Apart from this, ISRO also launches foreign satellites into space for commercial purposes to generate revenue. Accordingly, the European Space Agency has currently designed two satellites named ‘Propa-3’. These are to study the solar corona. Carrying the satellites, weighing a total of 550 kg, ISRO’s PSLV-C59 rocket was to lift off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, at 4:08 pm today.

The 25-hour ‘countdown’ for this began at 3:08 pm yesterday. ISRO scientists were monitoring the movement and operations of the rocket.

In it, ISRO has announced that the launch of PSLV-C59 rocket will be postponed to 4:12 pm tomorrow due to a technical fault in the satellite.
