Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore, has been recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu for its remarkable contribution to organ donation. The hospital received the “Award of Appreciation for Exemplary Performance in Organ Donation Awareness and Organ Pledges” at the Organ Day Donation Programme organized by TRANSTAN at Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai.
The award, presented by Ma. Subramanian, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, acknowledges the hospital’s outstanding role in the Deceased Donor Programme for 2024–25. The event also celebrated donor families, transplant experts, coordinators, and hospitals that have significantly advanced the cause of organ donation across Tamil Nadu.
On behalf of the hospital, the award was received by Dr. S. Prahadeeshwaran, Head – Public Relations, and D. Viswanath, Head – Information Technology. The ceremony was graced by Senthil Kumar, Principal Secretary, and Dr. N. Gopalakrishnan, Member Secretary, TRANSTAN.
