Coimbatore forest devision,On the basis of secret information received by the forest staff of Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve about the existence of tusks in the Siraj Nagar area surrounded by Odanthurai division of Sirumugai Forestry Division, the Sirumugai Forestry Officer and the stock workers seized elephant tusks from a house in Siraj Nagar area of Mettupalayam.

The accused were caught in Sathyamangalam and Mettupalayam areas.
Criminal case of trying to sell elephant ivory in Sirumugai Forest Office WLOR No. 1/2025 I humbly inform you that the five enemies who were caught and found on the margin and the above seized items were produced before the Judicial Magistrate of Mettupalayam Criminal Court and lodged in Coimbatore Central Jail.
