Rs. 1,000 fine for parking omni buses at VOC ground

Coimbatore The Corporation has warned that if private vehicles and omni buses are parked at the VOC ground, a fine of Rs. 1,000 will be imposed. The renovated omni bus stand on Sathi Road, Coimbatore, was recently put into use. There were complaints that buses were being charged a high fee here. As a result, omni buses and private vehicles were parked at the VOC ground. The entire ground became a parking lot. The Central Zone Corporation officials inspected and closed the entrance. A notice board has been put up in the name of the Central Zone Assistant Commissioner of the Corporation, warning that ‘Private vehicles and omni buses should not be parked in the ground premises; violation will result in a fine of Rs. 1,000’. Therefore, private vehicles are parked in rows in front of a private school on Avinashi Road. The traffic police should take action.
