PSG College of Arts & Science Recognized Among Top 15 Incubation Centres in Tamil Nadu

The Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship (CII&E) of PSG College of Arts & Science (PSGCAS), Coimbatore, has been recognized among the Top 15 Incubation Centres in Tamil Nadu under the StartupTN – Incubation Scaleup Initiative during the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit 2025, held at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex on October 9–10, 2025.

The Scale-up Grant sanction order was officially handed over by Dr. J. Jeyaranjan, Vice Chairman, State Planning Commission, and Mr. Sivarajah Ramanathan, Mission Director & CEO, StartupTN, Government of Tamil Nadu.

As part of this recognition, PSGCAS Business Incubation Centre has been awarded a Scaleup Grant of ₹5,00,000 to enhance its incubation facilities and strengthen entrepreneurial development initiatives.

The PSGCAS CII&E, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of the Ministry of Education and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, continues to promote innovation, startup culture, and entrepreneurship training programs among students and faculty.

Key Achievements (2023–2025):

  • Secured International SEED Grants (€4000+) from UN organizations and the German Federal Ministry of Environment.

  • Student innovators won ₹27 Lakhs through the MSME Idea Hackathon 2025.

  • National-level recognitions at Futurepreneur, Hack-arti-thon, and IIT Madras Pitch to Win, under NIDHI PRAYAS and MEITY-EIR schemes.

  • Faculty-led innovation projects received ₹2.5 Lakhs funding from the Ministry of Environment and Atal Innovation Mission (AIM).

  • Conducted over 850+ innovation and entrepreneurship programs, registering multiple startups under MSME and DPIIT.

  • Strong partnerships with IIT Bombay E-Cell, StartupTN, EDII-TN, and PSG STEP.

This recognition highlights PSGCAS’s continued excellence in nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship, reaffirming its vital role in Tamil Nadu’s start-up ecosystem.
