New leaders appointed for 33 districts in BJP: Election Officer Chakravarthy announces

Based on the internal party elections held in BJP, State Election Officer M. Chakravarthy has announced the appointment of new leaders for 33 districts.

New executives will be elected every 3 years in BJP. Membership will be renewed every 6 years. Apart from this, new membership will also be admitted. In that regard, membership admission work started in Tamil Nadu BJP last September. Following this, internal party elections began. In it, executives are being selected for various posts such as branch president, mandal president, and district president on the basis of voting. Accordingly, leaders have been selected for 47 thousand branches out of 68 thousand branches in Tamil Nadu BJP and 950 unions out of 1,231 unions. In this situation, district leaders have currently been selected for 33 districts out of 67 districts in Tamil Nadu BJP through organizational elections. Tamilchelvan, Tenkasi – Anandan Ayyasamy, Virudhunagar East – G. Pandurangan, Sivaganga – T. Pandidurai, Madurai East – A.P. Rajasimman, Madurai West – K. Sivalingam, Dindigul East – T. Muthuramalingam, Theni – P. Rajapandi, Trichy Nagar – K. Ondimuthu, Trichy Suburbs – R. Anjanenjan, Pudukkottai East – C. Jagatheesan, Ariyalur – A. Parameswari, Thanjavur North – Thanga Kennedy, Tiruvarur – V.K. Selvam, Mayiladuthurai – Nanjil R. Balu, Cuddalore East – Agni Krishnamoorthy, Cuddalore West – K. Tamilazhagan, Chengalpattu South – M. Praveen Kumar, Chengalpattu North – N. Raghuram, Kanchipuram – Thamarai Jagatheesan, Tiruvallur East – S. Sundaram, Kallakurichi – M. Balasundaram, Vellore – V. Dasarathan, Tirupattur – M. Thandayuthabani, Salem Nagar – T.V. Sasikumar, Namakkal East – K.P. Saravanan, Namakkal West – M. Rajesh Kumar, Coimbatore South – R. Chandrasekhar, Nilgiris – A. Following the appointment of the district president, the state president and national president elections will be held. Party sources say that the newly appointed district leaders are supporters of BJP state president Annamalai, and therefore, Annamalai is likely to be re-elected as the state president.
