At midnight, a gang of four masked men broke the door of the house and entered. They threatened to give him money and jewelry. When he refused, they threw him out of the house and searched the house for jewelry and money. They caught hold of the 20 thousand rupees in the bureau. Meanwhile, Kaleeswari, who was thrown out, immediately informed her son via mobile phone. Seeing her talking on the phone, the robbers tried to strangle her neck with a nylon rope.
By then, farmers from neighboring farms had come running after hearing the noise.
Seeing this, the gang fled. The police are investigating the matter. They are searching for the masked robbers.
