Coimbatore, July 17, 2025: The vibrant inauguration ceremony of Manavar Mandram 2025 (Self-Financing Stream) was held at PSG College of Arts & Science, celebrating student leadership, cultural diversity, and academic enthusiasm. The event marked the beginning of a new academic year with a promise of innovation, unity, and student empowerment.
The program commenced with the invocation song performed by students of the Department of Carnatic Music, invoking divine blessings through melody and tradition. The dignitaries were then ceremoniously escorted to the dais by the office bearers of Manavar Manram.
The event was presided over by Dr. M. Senguttuvan, Principal In-Charge of PSGCAS, in his insightful Presidential address he emphasizied the importance of holistic development through leadership, learning, and student participation at PSG College of Art and Science which has 42 clubs and forums which nurtures the students overall personality development.
Mr. Aswin, Chairperson of Manavar Manram, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. He pointed out that how these forums and clubs serve as a platform for all students to showcase their creativity, Innovative ldeas, leadership skills and team working.
A traditional lamp lighting ceremony was observed, symbolizing the light of knowledge and the beginning of an inspired journey. This was followed by the installation ceremony, where the newly elected office bearers took their oath of service and integrity. Dr. M. Senguttuvan also presented official badges and lit symbolic candles, marking the transfer of leadership.
In his felicitation address, Dr. T. Kannaian, Secretary of PSGCAS, commended the efforts of the organizing committee and underscored the importance of student-led initiatives in creating a vibrant campus culture.
The Chief Guest, shri.N. C. Nandagopalan, Secretary, PSG Schools , addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, motivated the students to lead with values and strive toward excellence. He emphasized the importance of reading books to acquire knowledge and equip themselves as future ready leaders.
Ms. Haritha, Chairperson of Manavar Manram (2025), delivered the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the support of the management, faculty, and volunteers who contributed to the program’s success.
The event concluded with a colorful array of cultural performances, celebrating student talent through music, dance, and theatrical expressions, leaving the audience enthralled.
