​GKNM Hospital inaugurates Advanced CT Simulator and Neonatal Ambulance

GKNM Hospital launched its state-of-the-art CT Simulator for precise radiation therapy planning for the department of Oncology and a new neonatal ambulance service, for the department of paediatrics.
Anantha Raman, President – Head of Internal Audit, Kotak Mahindra Bank lLimited., inaugurated the facilities along with Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy, CEO of GKNM Hospital. Officials from Kotak Mahindra Bank, GKNM Hospital Administrative team, Paediatrics and Oncology department doctors and staff members were also present at the event.
The CT Simulator allows for detailed 3D imaging of tumors, enabling accurate radiation treatment planning and minimizing damage to healthy tissue. The highlights of the CT Simulator are Beam’s Eye View (BEV), Virtual Simulation, 3D tumor imaging, Advanced treatment planning software. The CT simulator was supported by Kotak Mahindra Bank.
The neonatal ambulance, equipped with advanced medical technology and staffed by neonatal specialists, will provide critical transport for newborns needing urgent care. The ambulance is fully equipped with an incubator and ventilator to transfer sick new born babies from nearby districts. The neonatal ambulance was supported by Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited.
Dr. Veluswamy emphasized the significance of these additions to the hospital’s services. Raman highlighted Kotak Mahindra Bank’s commitment to supporting essential healthcare initiatives.These advancements will significantly improve patient care at GKNM Hospital, which is the primary goal of the hospital.
