Empowering the nation, the youth way ……

Spread the love

It is obvious that we remember Swami Vivekananda when we hear the word Youth day as he says in his address, “The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. They must be educated and inspired to take on their responsibilities with courage and commitment.” Swami Vivekananda emphasizes the crucial role of youth in shaping the future and stresses the need for education and inspiration, which is definitely needed for the Youth not only in India but also for the Youths all over the world. International youth day is celebrated on August 12 every year. Young people are the driving force behind innovation, social change, and progress in various fields. They bring fresh perspectives, new ideas, and a willingness to challenge the current status. In today’s interconnected world, youth have the power to amplify their voices through social media, activism, and entrepreneurship, making their mark on a global scale. Great leaders feel that the voices of youth are heard louder than anything. The very great example from Tamilnadu will be the voicing for the great heroic and traditional game Jallikattu. It proved that the power of youth can do anything regardless of the situations and difficulties. Also, it teaches the power of Unity with the power of Youth. Not only in games but also during the natural calamities, youths are the ones across various identities who lend their hands to help. Youths are always best in all ways to turn our community towards a good cause.
Sharing her views on today’s youths to The Kovai Herald, Gaffing Sharon G S says, “Today’s youth are special because they are a dynamic and diverse generation knowing what to do, being curious, smart and want to do something different. They possess a unique blend of traits that set them apart from previous generations. They are also entrepreneurial and socially conscious and have a desire to make a positive impact on the world. They are curious, open- minded and eager to learn with access to vast amounts of information and resources. On the other hand, they face numerous challenges including mental health concerns, academic pressure and social expectations, which can lead them to anxiety, stress and depression. The constant bombardment of social media can foster comparison, decreased attention span and a sense of disconnection. Despite these challenges, today’s youth are resilient, adaptable, and determined, with a strong desire to create meaningful connections, drive change, and leave their mark on the world. By embracing their individuality, creativity, and passion, they have the potential to become the leaders, innovators, and change-makers of tomorrow”. Praharsha N.G. also shares her ideas of being a youth, “Our generation is navigating a world with both opportunities and challenges. We’re comfortable with technology, care about social issues, and want to make a positive impact. However, we also feel overwhelmed, anxious, and pressured to succeed at times. It’s hard to balance our own expectations with the expectations of others. Despite these struggles, we’re a resilient and resourceful generation. We’re trying to redefine what success means to us, prioritizing our well-being, individuality, and social impact. We’re not perfect, but we’re trying to figure it out. With support and understanding, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and those around us.” The future belongs to the youth, and by empowering them, we are investing in a brighter tomorrow for all.
