Centenary celebrations were held at the Nallattipalayam Panchayat Union Middle School in Kinathukadavu. The centenary celebrations were hosted by Headmaster Selvirani. District Principal Education Officer Balamurali presided over the function. Pollachi District Education Officer (Primary School) Thangarasu presided over the function.
School teachers, students, management committee members, former students and the public participated in the function. Centenary torch relay, tree planting and torch lighting were held. Prizes were given to school students. The refreshment and nutrition staff working in the school were honored. Former ISRO Director Mayilsamy Annadurai participated and spoke:
It is an honor to participate and speak at the centenary celebrations of the school I studied at. I do not see this event as a school festival, I see it as a family festival. I have studied in 10 places, including schools and colleges. But this school is special to me. My father was a teacher in this school. My entire family studied here.
Currently, the percentage of educated people in Tamil Nadu is increasing. As Swami Vivekananda said, education elevates a person. Education should be given importance like food, clothing and shelter for a person.
Thus, he spoke. In the end, students performed cultural programs.
