Palm oil is imported from countries including Malaysia and Indonesia, and sunflower oil from Russia. In this situation, its price has increased in the local market.
As of yesterday in Coimbatore, coconut oil was sold for Rs. 280 per liter, groundnut oil for Rs. 230, kerosene for Rs. 330, sunflower oil for Rs. 160, palm oil for Rs. 152, and rice oil for Rs. 150.

Coconut oil has increased from Rs 210 to Rs 280, sunflower oil from Rs 120 to Rs 160, and palm oil from Rs 90 to Rs 152. Palm oil and sunflower oil were in high use.
The government said that it has increased import duty to increase domestic production. However, the public is directly affected by this. There is no chance of oil prices coming down at the moment. He said this.
