Coimbatore woman marries Netherlands man
Coimbatore; Premalatha hails from Chamanayakkanpalayam, near Periyanayakkanpalayam, Coimbatore. She works as an administrative manager in an information technology company in the Netherlands.
She met Ramon Steenhees, who works for a ‘TV’ in the Netherlands. The two had been in love for five years. Both families had consented to get married. Their marriage took place at a wedding hall in Idigarai, Coimbatore, in the presence of both families and relatives.
According to Tamil tradition, the marriage took place with fire as the witness and Ammi stepping on the mat. The groom Ramon Steenhees’ parents, relatives and friends who attended the wedding were all wearing silk dhoti, shirt and silk saree.
