CM Stalin orders corporation to install rides and rope cars in Semmozhi Park

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin has ordered to install rides and rope cars in the Semmozhi Park complex to attract children. A robotic joint replacement surgery camp will be held at the Coimbatore Medical Center Hospital in Peelamedu, Avinashi Road, from March 1 to April 30. The Tamil Nadu government has given administrative permission for Rs. 167.25 crore to set up Semmozhi Park on 45 acres in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore. The construction of the entrance ticket building, open-air stadium, perimeter wall, toilets, etc. is underway. In this, a conference center is being built on an area of ​​4,830 square meters. Waste water is treated from Ukkadam and brought to a distance of 6 km through a pipe. An area of ​​17 thousand square meters has been allocated for parking vehicles. A structure to purify and use toilet waste water using ‘biotechnology’ method is being set up.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin, who recently arrived in Coimbatore from Salem, flew to Chennai. Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran and others met him at the airport and sent him off. At that time, the Chief Minister questioned the Corporation officials regarding the Semmozhi Park works. The Chief Minister has instructed to set up rides and ‘rope car’ facilities to attract children. The Commissioner inspected the park premises yesterday to allocate space for this.

In this regard, Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran said, ”So far, 60 percent of the work has been completed. Only the construction work is 85 percent complete. It will be completely completed by June. When the Chief Minister came, he asked what are the entertainment features. He asked if rides are being set up. We have looked for a place to set up small entertainment features including rides and rope cars. It is in the form of a consultation,” he said.
