A sickle to get a seat in a bus? Photo goes viral

Pollachi; Like the comedy scene in the movie where a snake is used to get a seat in a government bus, an incident of a sickle to get a seat in a bus in Pollachi has created a stir. More than 50 buses are operated from Pollachi to go to rural areas and outlying areas. Daily workers and people going to work are traveling in rural areas.

During rush hour, it is customary to compete to get a seat in buses operated to rural areas.
A few people can be seen using cloth bags, kerchiefs, etc. to get a seat. However, two sickles were placed to get a seat in a government bus (Route No. 5C) going from Pollachi to Gopalapuram on the Tamil Nadu border. Some of the public traveling in the bus took a photo of this and posted it on social media, which went viral. There was criticism that a sickle was used to get a seat in the bus.

Following this, the police and transport officials are conducting an investigation. It is said that the coconut harvesters who came on the bus, when they went to drink tea, put the sickle they were holding in their hands so that no one would sit on the seat, and then took it away.

However, the police are examining the footage recorded on the surveillance cameras.
